New Confirmations Regarding Specifics of Kirin 950: Debut Soon

Huawei recently presented his Honor 7, the new top of the range based on Kirin 935, however we have already seen how this SoC is not the pinnacle of what Huawei has intention to propose during the year, since his successor Kirin 950 incoming seems to be now.

The latest news confirm what emerged in recent months, configuring octa core based on a cluster dedicated to saving consists of 4 core Cortex-A53 and a second high-performance cluster with 4 core Cortex-A72 clocked up to 2.4 GHz. You’ll also find the latest version of GPU made home ARM — the Mali-T880, although the latter configuration is unknown. We also find the support to the newest RAM dual channel LPDDR4 (25.6 GB/s) and the coprocessor i7 dedicated to handling sensors, connectivity and security. The new 950 Kirin will also be compatible with UFS eMMC 2.0 and 5.1, as well as with the latest connectivity standards thanks to the presence of an LTE modem Cat. 10 and Bluetooth 4.2, in addition to support for USB 3.0.

Among other news also emerged the first indications as to the availability, namely Q3 and Q4 2015, so it is likely to expect a product equipped with the new Kirin 950, perhaps in response to the expected Snapdragon 820. Surely we can expect interesting and warm winter from the perspective of the new SoC, although hopefully it is not too hot.
