New Pictures of Google Nexus Phones Show up

The first real images of Google’s two Nexus phones with code names Sailfish and Marlin are of two laps surfaced over the weekend.

The launch of Google’s upcoming Nexus two phones with HTC as the manufacturer nears. In addition to the 3D model, as the website Android Police made in the last month, there have been some revelations of design-before now.

On weekends there is been revealed images of two laps. First there were the secret Twitter user created only for the purpose of sharing a single image and some after the following details about the Nexus phones.

The case, which is behind the Twitter profile, seems to have seen a person with one of the two Nexus phones. On the somewhat indistinct image in the above tweet is seen the same design, as Android Police showed progress in the previous rendering. The top 4-5 cm of the back is made up for by a glossy piece of black glass a bit in the style of last year’s Nexus 6 p.

The rest of the form factor and the memories from this one image relatively much about Google’s previous Nexus 4-smartphonethat LG made back in 2012.

More pictures from all four sides

Not many hours after this first picture appeared, was Android Police ready to complement with a comprehensive picture of the phone, where it is visible from all four sides. Here confirmed the same design, which are not immediately the big surprises to be found.

Back round corners and edges can immediately look reminiscent of HTC’s own top model HTC 10, while there seems to be little Nexus 6 p over the front top. A point of criticism, as readers already at this point has given strong indication is HTC’s tendency to let edge be under quite a lot of the screen – something that also is seen with HTC One M9 and HTC 10, where, however, there has been either a logo or a fingerprint reader.

With Nexus-phone there is neither, and there would therefore appear to be quite a lot of unnecessary border under the screen, which, however, may well be used to accommodate different mechanics underneath.

Marlin and Sailfish beside the other Nexus phones

Despite the somewhat blurred images, a user on the website Reddit made an attempt to put the two new Nexus phones up against the other Nexus phones with a comparison of the sizes.

After having corrected the image’s quirky perspective is believed the smallest model, Sailfish, to have a size of about 141 x 68 mm, where there is room for a 5 “screen. Size is therefore right in the middle between the Nexus and Nexus 5 x 5.

The larger the Marlin model on 5.5 “might end with a size of 154 x 73 mm, which is close to the same size as the Nexus 6 p. As you know, it is only approximate goals, so nothing is for sure yet. It does, however, still a relatively good idea of how much you can expect that the two top models will be.

There has also been speculation in the end, whether the two Nexus-smartphones are made from the same materials or not. Android Police is continued by the conviction that the two phones are exactly the same – so get the glass part of the seats, while the new Twitter user believes to know that the glass in the smallest Sailfish-model replaced with shiny plastic. Precisely the same information was signed out of the site Nexusblog two weeks ago, but that is something that continues to be disagreement.
