The First Smartphone with 8 GB of RAM Might Already Be on the Way

Even though smartphones with the entire 6 GB RAM is still a rare sight, the first smartphone already rumored to be on the road with huge 8 GB RAM.

It is only in the course of this year that smartphones with 4 GB of RAM has become widespread among the top models, according to ASUS back in late 2015 launched ZenFone 2 -the first smartphone with 4 GB of RAM.

There should, however, not go many months before the race for most GB RAM continued led by Chinese producers.

Already at the beginning of March, launched the Chinese producer vivo model Xplay 5, who, like the first, save on the entire 6 GB ones. Then is the top model OnePlus 3 come to sale in Denmark as the only phone at home with 6 GB of RAM.

With Galaxy Note 7 Samsung had the ability to disseminate 6 GB of RAM, but the South Korean manufacturer has chosen not to sell this variant in China. In 6 GB RAM has been the least widespread, see a Wilder configuration however, soon to become a reality.

Smartphones with 8 GB of RAM may be just around the corner

Another Chinese manufacturer, LeEco, stands for to launch the next top model Le 2S, which according to rumors will be equipped with massive 8 GB of RAM – in other words, twice as much as the vast majority of current top models. The rumor about the 8 GB RAM actually goes back to the middle of June, and since then more information has come forward about the wild Chinese smartphone.

In addition to the enormous amount of RAM it will allegedly get Qualcomm’s latest processor, Snapdragon 821, which hurtles away with up to 2.4 GHz and provides 10% better than Snapdragon 820.Design-wise the upcoming Le 2S model based on Le 2, launched in april with 4 GB of RAM.

Immediately, a smartphone with 8 GB RAM sounds something unlikely about half a year’s time, after the first smartphone with 6 GB of RAM was launched. However, nothing can be ruled out when there is talk about LeEco. Under the manufacturer’s previous name, Letv, the company launched the first smartphone with the reversible USB Type-C-port. LeEco is also behind the first smartphone with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processor – namely the aforementioned 820-predecessor to the rygtede top model, Le 2.

If such a large amount of RAM, both on 6 and 8 GB, can possibly be exploited by the not-so-demanding Android apps as compared to a traditional computer, will turn out. Even with the 4 GB of RAM in the new Galaxy Note 7, Samsung, just as in the Galaxy S7, created a quite aggressive RAM management, where apps very quickly stop running in the background.
