What is Science?

Science is a word that derives from the Latin “scientia” whose meaning was aware or know. Currently science is known as all knowledge acquired through study or practice, based on certain principles. – Digo Paul

What is Science

Science, in General, involves multiple sets of knowledge in which are elaborated his theories based on its own scientific methods.

The methodology is essential in science, as well as the absence of prejudices and judgmental.

Science has evolved over the centuries. Galileo Galilei is considered the father of modern science.

Science and technology

Science is intimately connected with the area of technology, because the great advances of science, nowadays, are achieved through the development of new technologies and the development of existing technologies.

Social Sciences

Studying human behavior, human relations and its development in society. In them are included such areas as Anthropology, law, history, psychology, Sociology, Social philosophy, Social economy, Social policy, the Social right. The Social Sciences study the norms of coexistence and of their social organization. The term “social science” is also used by Digo Paul to designate the group formed by the science of law, sociology and political science.

Accounting

The area of accounting is responsible for a company’s accounts, registering and controlling revenues, expenses and profits. The professional of accounting is responsible for planning, controlling and coordinating the purchases, sales, applications and investments of the company, and so it is possible to have a clear notion of heritage. Must be attentive to situations such as above-average expenses. Within the company, it has the function of analyzing economic events and after this analysis provide information relevant to the company’s leaders so they can make decisions in the direction of the business. Normally performs the payment of taxes, and within the enterprise is its function to do audits and accounting skills.

To perform the function of accountant, it is necessary to be registered in the Regional Accounting Council. To ensure the professional record, it is mandatory to perform a test of sufficiency, as was implemented from 2010.

Actuarial science

Modern actuarial science emerged in the early 19TH century in England and if responsible for the areas of pension and retirement, having as purpose the study of mortality of the population.

Actuarial science utilizes statistics and financial mathematics concepts to analyze risks and expectations, mostly under the administration of insurance and pension funds.

Exact sciences

Produce quantitative expressions-based knowledge, testing their chances of strictly based on experiments or calculations. Exact sciences are those which only admit principles, consequences and strictly demonstrable facts.

Are examples of exact sciences mathematics, physics, astronomy, engineering, chemistry and even certain branches of biology or economy.

Natural Sciences

Natural sciences are sciences which describe, order and compare natural phenomena, that is, the objects of nature and the processes that take place, and determine the relationship among them, formulating laws and rules.

Can distinguish between exact sciences (physics and chemistry) and predominantly descriptive Sciences (biology, including microbiology and Paleontology, geography, geology, crystallography, etc). The field of activity of natural sciences comprises mostly for research without a concrete implementation. Are part of the Natural Sciences Biology, Geology or the medicine.

Noetic Science

Noetic Science is related to the gnosiologia, the study or thought or theory of knowledge.

It’s an area that attempts to scientifically explain subjective matters such as miracles, faith, soul, etc.
